Select your floor plan, number of bedrooms and baths, appliance packages, custom cabinetry and more. If you’re not concerned about a custom design, consider a new model home within a community, and you’ll likely get popular design features for less, and the bonus of immediate occupancy.

You could have additional financing options
Manufactured home retailers and communities often work with banks and, as a result, may be able to offer a variety of financing options. So, while you still want to get prequalified with a lender of your own choosing before you start shopping for a home, it makes sense to weigh all of your options.

You get a fresh start
With a new home, you are truly starting fresh, its economic life is longer, and you get to personalize it to suit your family and your style. Plus, if you’re moving from a site-built home to a new manufactured home, you’ll likely be paying less per square foot, and will also save some money on utility bills. Those new appliances and systems are more efficient, too.

There’s a home warranty
Another bonus of buying a new home is that the home likely comes with a warranty that covers major systems, appliances and more. Be sure to find out exactly what that warranty covers, the remedies it offers and how long it’s valid. Warranties run from as little as one year to as many as five years and are often offered directly from the home manufacturer.
