A checklist for exterior home maintenance

Manufactured and modular homes are designed to be low-maintenance, but there are still a few things homeowners will want to do to keep their home looking fresh and beautiful. Here’s a helpful checklist by season:

Spring
1. Clean up flowerbeds and plant annuals or perennials
2. Spread fresh mulch
3. Power wash your siding and clean your windows (in this order!)
4. Fertilize your lawn

Summer
1. Water plants and lawn 2-3 times per week or as needed
2. Cut your lawn every 5-10 days
3. Put away bikes or summer toys every evening

Fall
1. Prune trees and shrubs
2. Plant spring bulbs like tulips and daffodils
3. Rake and remove leaves
4. Add potted mums or other fall flowers

Winter
1. Remove snow promptly
2. Salt your driveway, stairs and porch
3. Add holiday lights and door decorations
